My Wharton Ancestors
Elizabeth Pryme
Born 25 Mar 1641 in Diss, Norfolk
Died in 1710/11 in Winfarthing, Norfolk, England
Spouse: George Wharton (1629-1709)
Elizabeth married George Wharton on 8th April 1856 in Diss, Norfolk. Together they had 12 children, see George for further information on their children.
PRYME FAMILY:
Elizabeth's father is John PRYME who was born 1615, Halesworth and died 8 November 1647, aged 32. He married Elizabeth's mother, Elizabeth TURNER (1613, DIss – 17/5/1669, Court Bern, Switzerland) on 30 October 1639 in Diss.
John PRYME's parents were Robert PRYME (born Abt. 1589 in Halesworth, Suffolk) and Barbara CART (born Abt. 1586 in Friston, Suffolk).
Robert PRYME's parents were Robert PRIME (PRYME) born about Abt. 1565 in Thrandeston, Suffolk and Elizabeth (born Abt. 1565 in Stradbroke, Suffolk,). They had 3 other children Joan PRYME, Mary PRYME (1600-1644) who married George Wharton, and John PRYME born in 1605.
This means that Mary Pryme and George Wharton would have been Elizabeth's Grand Aunt and Uncle. Mary Pryme also became Elizabeth's mother in law when she married Mary's husband!
