In the 1871 census she was attending a Hall's Grammar School in Heacham Road, Snettisham. The school was run by Robert LUBBOCK . Details of the school can be found here. It has a fascinating history where the owner of the buildings in the late 1700s left the land and buildings in his will with specific instructions to turn it into a school, however the family at the time did not follow out his wishes and it was not until over 100 years later that the will's instructions were carried out.
In 1881 she was found staying with her sister Ellen and her family in East Harling as a visitor. It doesn't list her as having an occupation. Two years later she marries Thomas Eagle MARTIN. Thomas is from a large family of farmers originally from Suffolk who moved to Barmer in Norfolk and farmed them for over 100 years. Thomas' half brother Arthur MARTIN's daughter, Vera also married Kate's nephew Hugh Wharton.
Kate moved with Thomas Eagle MARTIN to Barmer Hall with the rest of the Martin family living next door at the farm house. Below is the census extract for 1891. Ten years later in 1881 they are still living there.

I have tried to find her on the 1911 census and I think she was living in Cradle Hall, Burnham Market with Thomas Eagle's sister. However, the census form says she was "single" rather than a widow and born in Barmer, so I am not entirely sure whether it is her or not Thomas Eagle's niece also called Kate Martin and born the same time as this Kate.
Kate became a Widow in 1902 and she died on 20 December 1943 in Burleigh Nursing Home, Sandringham Road in Hunstanton. Her probate entery indicates prior to her death she was living in a cottage in a village called Anmer (near Dersingham, Norfolk).
